Conroy Packing Division is a Woodburn, Oregon berry processing plant with 40 years of experience delivering superior quality frozen berries to baking, ice-cream, and yogurt businesses world wide.

Our berry processing plant is located in the heart of Oregon's highly productive Willamette Valley. This valley is endowed with a climate and soil condition ideally suited to growing berries that are high in natural sugars, flavors, and color. Our facility is located directly in the center of the valleys highest concentration of berry fields. As such, we need not operate any receiving stations. All our fruit is delivered fresh, directly to our facility. This ensures that we can avoid damage caused by excessive handling of the fruit.

Fruit quality is very important to us. We go out of our way to protect the freshness of the product by cooling it before processing. Within 10 minutes of arriving from the field, the berries are placed in our coolers and chilled to 33 degrees Fahrenheit. We have learned that this rapid removal of field heat is the most critical requirement for maintaining fruit freshness.

After the berries have been chilled, they are washed and inspected to USDA grade "A" standards or better (depending on customer specifications). Then the fruit is either "Individually Quick Frozen" to -12 degrees Fahrenheit, or as with strawberries, sliced or diced and sugared to customers requirements. Product is then moved to our neighboring cold storage facility just one block away. Every aspect of our process has been finely tuned to protect fruit quality and freshness.

Our berries are used in gourmet ice-creams, yogurts, and fine baked pies and confections. Please visit our pages to learn more about each variety of berry we sell.
